Emoticons ツ

The Emoticon was the forerunner of the Emoji. They were made of special characters, which could be found in different languages.
A perfect example of a traditional emoticon is the smiling emoticon :-), or the laughing emoticon :-D. Nowadays most of the time these often get automatically converted to an Emoji (🙂 and 😃).
